Four County Community Foundation

Four County Imagination Library Fund

Imagine giving brand-new, age-appropriate books to children in the communities we serve, from birth to age five!  Upon registering for this literacy program, children receive new books each month, every month.  Some books are bilingual.

Our Imagination Library Fund is partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.  While the Dolly Parton fund will cover some costs, it is up to our Foundation to provide the bigger share.

The Four County Imagination Library Fund pays $2.50 per child each month.  That means a donation of just $30 provides a year of reading for a child in our community!  For a donation of $150, you present 60 great books to one child, one each month for five years!

The fund currently serves children in Addison, Almont, Armada, Attica, Dryden, Imlay City, Metamora, Memphis, New Haven, Ortonville, Oxford, Ray, Richmond, Romeo, Shelby, and Washington.

Families are currently signing up to receive books.  To check availability and to register, visit imaginationlibrary.com  Click on “check availability” in the upper right corner.  Enter the child’s home zip code, then click continue to obtain a mail in registration form.

Required Annual Minimum Distributions (RMDs) are a reality for anyone 72 years or older with an employer-sponsored retirement plan and those individuals enrolled in traditional or IRA-based plans. Choosing to direct RMD dollars to a nonprofit entity, like Four County Community Foundation’s Imagination Library Fund, can support the work they do and reduce your taxable income.

All that’s required is for a donor to contact their plan manager or IRA custodian and request that the funds be directed to the Imagination Library Fund at 4CCF as a qualified charitable distribution.
